  • Fewer inputs required to grow and less water needed than cotton (cotton requires over 11k litres per kg, hemp requires about 50% of this).
  • It typically requires no pesticides. Industrial hemp is pest and disease resistant; partly due to the fact it grows so fast and so densely it chokes out weeds.
  • Low lignin levels enable environmentally friendly bleaching without the use of chlorine
  • Unlike cotton which depletes the soil of nutrients, hemp can be grown consecutively for over twenty years without the soil being affected.
